Hello, how do you do, my name is Carl.
My main reason for starting this blog is to give myself some one to talk to. It is said that writing things down can help vent frustrations, so I'm giving it a go. If I write anything that interests you or that is of any help to you then please drop me a comment because it will make my day. Who knows, maybe we will have a few things in common and become friends. BFF and all that soppy stuff!
I am a single parent to my wonderful daughter whom, for the purpose of this blog, I shall refer to as Precious, because that's what she is. The most precious thing in my life. I was toying with calling her Angel, Princess or Jewel, but calling her Angel may offend some religions, a princess is really born or married to that title & let's face it, there aren't many pretty ones! Jewel is something that's precious, but also cold and hard. So, Precious it is then! Why don't I call her by her real name? Well, there's at least one person out there who probably wouldn't approve of me putting Precious's real name onto a public blog.
Hmm, is "Precious's" proper English? Well, this blog is about the content rather than proper English, but I will do my best to keep my grammar in check.
What are you likely to find in this blog, then? well, it's about my life, which includes Precious and any any one else I have come into contact with over the years, and many more people in the future, too, I should think. I've found life very difficult and most of the time it seems to be a constant struggle for some reason. I don't think it should be such a struggle all the time and it never used to be, but there are people in this world who seem to have nothing better to do than to make other people's lives a misery. Some do it intentionally and others seem to be oblivious to the effects they have on other people. I will write about the obstacles I come across and how I over come them, or learn to live with them. I will also write about the good times, so don't think it's going to be a typical British "let's moan about everything and not do anything about it" blog. There are lots of interesting things that have happened to me in the recent past, including the reason I am a single parent, so you will find that I will often dig back into my past, so this blog won't be in strict chronological order like blogs are meant to be, but this is me. I like to be different. Ba-a-a-ah
